2. Critical issues for solar integration
In small production units, when there are long intervals between two operations, the heat storage tank cannot sufficiently store the thermal energy until it’s used. In these cases the surplus of produced heat, during the days of no production, should be used for other processes also if that is possible (Joanneum Research).
